 Brooklyn Bridge

Copyright: The Bridgeman Art Library
The Brooklyn Bridge stretches across the East River in New York and connects the boroughs of Brooklyn and Manhattan.

Completed in 1883, it was by far the longest suspension bridge ever built until then, with a span of 1825 meters.

This lithograph is from 1930 and is the work of Louis Lozowick, a Ukrainian-American artist who specialized in urban landscapes.
